He is the academic coordinator in various training programs, a member of editorial boards, senior researcher, and president at GIGAPP, and an associate professor at University Carlos III Madrid.

Former Associate Professor of Public Policy at the Instituto de Altos Estudios Nacionales in Quito, Ecuador, holding a Doctoral Degree in Political Studies from FLACSO Ecuador. His research centers on environmental and climate policy and governance in Latin America, with publications in Policy Sciences, Review of Public Policy, and Latin American Policy. He is an active core member of the Latin American Network for Participative Research (Redipal) and an Associate Editor of npj Climate Action.
